Hi Everyone,
Good news and bad. I won’t be posting again until April 11th.
Good news, I have an appointment with a Book Doctor to edit my book, “I’m Your Wife Not a Rock Star, Stop Throwing Your Underwear at Me!” And four literary agents who have expressed interest in it once the Doctor is finished. (Sorry Amb, not that Doctor.)
Bad news, we had a power outage on Monday and I lost all but my second draft back-up copy, I was on my fifth revision. Bummer. So I will be burning the midnight oil to meet my April 5th deadline.
So in the words of one of my favorite inspirational authors, Napoleon Hill, “There are many things in life that you cannot control, but you can always control your attitude toward them. Defeat is never permanent unless you allow it to be so. When you have a positive attitude, you will recognize failure for the impostor that it is and realize that it is really a learning experience, a valuable lesson that will help you succeed with the next attempt.
Ask yourself: What could I have done differently that would have altered the outcome? What can I do in the future to minimize problems and mistakes? What did I learn from this experience that I can put to good use next time? If you approach obstacles and setbacks with a positive attitude, you will be surprised how quickly you can turn defeat into victory.”
Wish me luck!
Holy cow, that’s Awesome, T! BUT so terrible about losing your drafts. Worst feeling! Love the inspirational quote, though. Wishing you all the best…good things to come in 2013!!

Thanks L, really appreciate the support. I admit, I was in total denial on Tuesday, but it will all work out for the best.
Hope to see you at the garden party.

Luck luck luck!!! Sorry about the power outage. Arrrgh. But your can-do attitude rocks. I haven’t made your choc cookies yet, but I do have a bit ol’ pot of chocolate pudding (well, it’s actually being served in a martini glass) for you over at foodforfun. Hadn’t known you are writing a book–very cool. Looking forward to progress reports. Have fun with the doctor!
