A Special Edition: That’s Amoré

Being self-employed gives flexibility but it also takes flexibility. In the last three weeks, life has been a roller coaster of work, work, work.

My husband and I work together in the real world during the day, and I write about Richard and Fannie at night. Many of you who blog, live that night owl writing lifestyle.

This week, I planned two posts. You read the Myrna Loy post over at the BoFN on Tuesday. Today was supposed to be Richard and Fannie’s return to regular programming.

Love threw up a road block with the strength of amorous skunks on a hot August afternoon.

The time I normally devote to writing instead has been spent talking on the phone with my husband—who is traveling for the next two weeks—like we were high school sweethearts. I bumped up the minutes on our phone plan.

With all this long distance romance, a song lodged itself into my head—the proverbial ear worm. And if I were to write a book called, “The Naughties Guide to Innocent Behavior”, then this would be rule number 13—If you can’t get a tune out of your head, infect as many people as possible by sharing the wealth. (It’s replacing coal as a stocking stuffer this Christmas.) 😉
