A Special Edition: A Cup of Christmas Tea

You may have noticed December snuck onto the pages of the calendar. And it’s been months since I’ve done one of my regular posts.

It’s December, you can’t choose it to be something else, or wish it away. You know it’s there. All of the end of year activities and traditions: baking, Christmas cards, seeing friends and family, sharing stories, decorating, and of course, celebrating the season.

I love this time of year. Yeah, it’s here, there, everywhere—since August if you’re a retailer. The time of year we traditionally take on more than we can chew. Or chew on more than we can take on. 😉

So when you’re burning the midnight oil prepping your traditions, getting ready for travel to distant locales, or just planning a baking frenzy, don’t forget to take a moment, sit back, relax, and spend some time taking care of yourself.

One family-favorite tradition in our household each year is listening to A Cup of Christmas Tea, by Tom Hegg. Perhaps we can share a cup of Christmas tea together.

Have a great holiday season everyone, however you celebrate it!

About Fannie Cranium

awwww….thank you, Tracy! What a lovely way to entertain your readers 🙂 Raising a glass of tea your way. Will have to make some cookies to go with it! What are your holiday plans?

    • Love the idea of sharing the virtual cookies! We are hosting this year, so the last several days have been spent decorating inside and out.

Our tree stand collapsed under the new tree (I’m sure that will come out in a Fannie post somewhere) so we had to buy a new one.

      What are you planning?

I LOVE the snow on your blog! Love love LOVE!!! Can you share your secret? 😉 And thanks for the reminder to slow down and enjoy this time of year. It’s easy to get caught up in all the madness, but it makes such a difference if you can just pause to let the wonderfulness of the season soak in! I love December too 🙂

    • Amb–You will love how easy it is to make it snow on your blog. From the Dashboard, click on Settings. On the bottom of the Settings page under Language is the SNOW! Yay. Just click on the check box.

Here’s the best part. If you don’t uncheck it after January it will “automagically” reappear next December!!!!!

      Enjoy soaking in the season!

Thanks, T! I have that book at home, too, so I’ll be sure to set it out with the tea and decorations and revel in the season!
