Celebrating Lucky Number 100

Bunny GutierrezWith that in mind, I would like to thank all of you for following along with me through the first 100 posts. I would also like to welcome all of the newcomers to Fannie’s world.

Fannie, Richard, and crew also celebrated their two year Blog-iversary in April. This slipped my mind because of a book deadline. As a result of professional editing, the book instead, will become a series of scripts. Fannie, Richard, and crew will be back for their regularly scheduled programming next week.

The first time I posted, I said, “Birthing this blog without an epidural was much easier than learning how to post to it.”   Since then I have been not so secretly stalking taking blogging lessons from Amb. What better time to put what I’ve learned to use.

Let me introduce you to some of the wonderful people I’ve met along the way these last two years.  The top five commenters in alphabetical order at Fannie Cranium’s Guide to Irreverent Wisdom:

Amb, Aplscruf, Dave, Lexy and Liz

With a special shout out to Aplscruf, my first follower. She has commented more than all of the other aforementioned bloggers combined.

Thanks to all of you who have commented.

Thank you to the wonderful bloggers at the Blog of Funny Names and especially to Dave for inviting me to contribute. You have broadened my appreciation for great people with greater names. And if you didn’t know, you hooked me with Dick Clark, but you landed me with Nipsey Russell.

Some fun facts since this blog started:

My first re-blogged post landed on the UK Trucker Blogs.

I used the word trucker in a post. It wasn’t even a tag. I wonder if this one will be re-blogged there as well? Just in case, “Hello UK Truckers!” And if you’re reading this from the southern hemisphere, “Hello Truckees!”

The post with the most views: “Have you seen my Pocket Trout?

This one caught me off guard.  I assumed a porn site referred a lot of disappointed viewers—not the case. Fans of the famous Eveready Pocket Trout Flashlight from the 1990‘s keep the numbers for this post ticking up every week.

Thank you for helping me with my dream of becoming a story teller. In the next hundred posts, I might figure out where to put all that darned punctuation. Until then, I’ll leave you with this thought:

Congratulations on hitting 100!! What an awesome milestone. And you achieved it while meeting a book deadline! Just fantastic. Here’s to 100 more, my friend.

PS: Thank you for the lovely shout-out. You can not so secretly stalk me anytime! 🙂

woo hoo!!!! Hadn’t realized your blog-i-versary had come and gone. Congratulations, Tracy 😉 I I know just the cake/torte to make for this special occasion. I love your stories of truckers and pocket trouts (heeheeheehee) and am thrilled you’ve been discovered by so many others. Curious about this “script” thing…love that you’re offering such suspense here. Also love that I made your top-5 list 😀

Will admit to not getting your blog at first (same thing with amb’s) as I thought blogs needed a topic (food! movies! funny names!), but now I see that yours is just a chapter-at-a-time (or episode if thinking TV) book of sorts. And well-written one at that. Seconding Amb with looking forward to the next 100. So happy to have met you. You mentioned your hook with Dave. Mine for you came when you wrote of flying dinner rolls 😉

    • Liz-like we discussed over the torte, the energy created by the like minded people we’ve meet in the blogosphere has been great.

Maybe someday, we can meet at Lambert’s and share a throwed roll together. 🙂

Thanks again for the shout out over the cookies. Can’t wait to see what your version of the torte!

Congratulations, Tracy! So glad you started this blog, especially after hearing about your stories so many years ago, it seems. You’ve been so dedicated to writing just about every week. You inspired me to work on my own story, and now I’m looking forward to the PNWA convention in July. So thank YOU!! 🙂

    • Lisa-If it wasn’t for you, I would not have had the courage to start blogging. Thanks for inviting me to subscribe to your blog oh so many moons ago.

I am so excited you are going to the PNWA conference!!! I’ll be there too. See you at the Garden Party!

Awesome! Congratulations… 100 is an exceptional feat. Especially given the depth and detail in your posts.. which are way more involved than mine have ever been 🙂 I’m extremely honored to have landed a spot on your top 5 and am looking forward to staying on board for the next 100.

And as for Richard Wagstaff “Dick” Clark and Nipsey Russell… I struggle to think of two better posts to fall for than those. They were both a lot of fun to write. (I’m also impressed with how many people remember the first BoFN post they read… I can barely keep track of the ones I’ve written these days :))

Here’s to another 100, and true online friendship!
