Thin clouds filtered the sunset over a canal in Kyoto, Japan. Water gurgled under the foot bridge. The cool air drifted across the water and carried the fragrance of cherry blossoms.
My mother always told me I looked at the world through rose-colored lenses. I purchased a pair of rose colored sunglasses and used them for this photo so she could see the world as I did.
A stroll along the Walk of the Philosophers, in April, blooms with inspiration.
And the Japanese equivalent to the Miracle on 34th Street . . .an empty train car in the late afternoon. A miracle indeed.
I love your view of the world, Tracy.

Thank you, Mark.
Sometimes it helps to look at the world through someone else’s lens. Then it doesn’t seem quite so bleak.

They should make rose-colored contact lenses.

It’s good to stop and smell the roses–or the horses–once in a while. Halfway through my morning commute, there is a pasture next to the road where two or three horses usually gather for their breakfast. One day, I pulled over and watched them through the fence and took a picture, just to get a different perspective on my commute, as the traffic on that road is usually backed up to the bottom of a long hill.
This morning, after nasty traffic the whole way, I stepped out of my car at work and heard the beautiful, urgent call of geese overhead. I looked up, and there they were, silhouetted through a thick layer of fog in perfect V formation. I was thankful to witness that. Their natural beauty gave me a sense of calm before stepping into the warehouse. And they didn’t poop on me.

After I stopped laughing about the bird poop, I truly enjoyed the image of the geese overhead.
Glad you were able to have an enjoyable moment after your commute. 🙂

Thanks, T. If they would have pooped on me, I would have taken that as a sign to turn around and go home and enjoy the day thru rose-colored eyelids!
PS, I didn’t know (or remember) that you went to Japan! How wonderful!
